Enigma Novelty Co. specializes in producing interesting puzzles that feature artwork created by world renowned tattoo artists. Each illustration would be recreated in black and white and converted into a puzzle that would then be colored in by the person doing the puzzle, so that each piece would ultimately be custom for each person. The packaging for each puzzle would be designed to be die-cut to mimic the shape of the finished illustration. Bar codes would be incorporated into the finished designs so that they would become a component of the design as opposed to feeling like afterthoughts.
The enigma logo is a custom typeface that was created in Illustrator specifically for this project. The logo and packaging are supposed to convey a sense of fun and whimsy for the consumer.
